Our Adoption Center Medical Fund is for current shelter pets, to attend to medical needs, as we do not have vets on staff. This is for treatment beyond usual vaccinations and simple care. Previous pets like Rocky, Charlie & Wobbles have benefited from this fund. We help pets who are very sweet, loving and adoptable, but have immediate medical needs. Everything from a club foot (Wobbles) to amputation (Charlie) to heartworm (Rocky) to URIs have been treated, all of which we could not have done without your support! (Rocky, Charlie & Wobbles were all adopted into great homes and doing well, by the way!)

By being a Guardian Angel, you choose a dog/puppy kennel or cat/kitten cage, and sponsor all the pets that reside there for a year. For $100, you can be an Angel for the animals! For $500, you can be an Archangel! You will receive a certificate, and one is posted on your kennel/cage for a year. Choose to honor someone, or have a memorial for someone - people or pets - on your certificate!

If you are a small business or a large corporation, consider supporting our shelter pets! For $500, you will be listed as a Business Pet Partner in our Adoption Center for a year. You will also get a plaque to put in your business, stating that you are a Friend and Business Pet Partner of Charles Smithgall Humane Society! Remember, your donation is 100% tax deductible, as we are a 501©3 nonprofit, and it all goes to help the Adoption Center pets.

There are always needs at the shelter, whether it be for food, treats, blankets for the Adoption Center dogs & cats, or even cleaning supplies. Your donations fund our Adoption Center 100%. Please call the shelter or check our Facebook page for current needs.
In addition to items we use at the shelter, we have biannual yard sales (& occasional online sales) that raise a large amount of funds, mainly due to YOUR donations. Please bring your items anytime during regular visiting hours to the shelter; we collect all year! For large items, give us a call for pickup. Appliances & electronics need to be in good working order, please. Thanks for your donations – it all helps our shelter pets!
