We are supported entirely by donations from private individuals and businesses.

Charles Smithgall Humane Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, tax ID 58-1949193. Your gift is fully tax-deductible, and 100% of your donation goes toward the care and adoptions of our animals.

MONTHLY GIVING

SMITHGALL GUARDIAN ANGEL
Become Smithgall Guardian Angel when you donate $250 or more a year. Your name will appear on a certificate of appreciation at the shelter, and we’ll mail you a copy to display at your home.

DONATE SUPPLIES

Items for donation can be mailed to our physical address (4823 Helen Hwy, Sautree Nachoochee, GA 30571) or may be dropped off on any day from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and left by the side green door.

Cleaners

  • Bleach (no Dollar Tree brand)
  • Laundry detergent
  • Dawn liquid dish soap
  • Paper Towels
  • Trash Bags (13 & 55 gallon sizes)
  • Cat litter – Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal Multi Cat
  • Metal cat litter scoopers
  • Dog Pooper Scoopers with Shovel & Scraper
  • Dog bags to pick up waste
  • Large floor Squeegees
  • Large floor scrub brushes

Food

  • Pedigree with Chicken canned dog or puppy food (pate preferred)
  • Dog food - grain free in Beef, Salmon or Venison (for our dogs with dietary needs/allergies)
  • Hill’s dog light (diet food)
  • Fancy Feast canned cat and kitten food (pate and ocean fish preferred)

Medicine

  • Feliway cat calming spray
  • Terramycin
  • Frontline Advantage (dogs or cats)
  • Capstar
  • Syringes
  • Cosequin (dogs or cats)

Toys & Calming/Comfy Items

  • Jolly Balls for dogs and tough dog toys (no rawhides)
  • New or gently used blankets, sheets and pillow cases
  • Harnesses and leashes, (preferred medium and large, X large sizes)
  • Kong dog toys or Nyla bones (no rawhides or hooves)
